THREATENED SPECIES CONSERVATION ACT 1995 No 101

Notice of Final etermination and Amendment of Schedule 1 to Act

The Scientific Committee established under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 has, in pursuance of Division 3 of Part 2 of that Act, made a final determination to insert the following population in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to that Act (Endangered populations) and, accordingly, that Schedule is amended as set out in Annexure “A” to this Notice:

Phascolarctidae

Phascolarctos cinereus (Gold fuss, Koala in the Pittwater Local
1817) Government Area

The final determination to insert this population in Schedule 1 has been made because the Scientific Committee is of the opinion that the population‘s numbers have been reduced to such a critical level that it is in immediate danger of extinction and that the population is of significant conservation value.

Determination

Schedule 1 to the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 is amended by
inserting in Part 2 in alphabetical order under the heading "Animals" and

the sub-headings "Vertebrates" and "Mammals" the matter:

Phascolarctidae

Phascolarctos cinerus (Gold fuss. Koala in the Pittwater Local
1817) Government Area
