I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Thoroughbred Racing Board Act 1996, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1998 as the day on which Schedule 2.12 to that Act commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence an amendment to the Workers

Compensation Act 1987 that replaces the Australian Jockey Club with the NSW

Thoroughbred Racing Board in the definition of specialised insurer.
