Therapeutic Goods Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 June 1995.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Therapeutic Goods Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 2 (Interpretation)

3.1   Definition of “Poisons Standard”:

Omit “National Health and Medical Research Council”, substitute “Australian Health Ministers’ Advisory Council”.

4.   Regulation 3 (State or territory laws that continue to apply)

4.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Corresponding State law

“3.

For the purposes of the definition of ‘corresponding State law’ in subsection 3 (1) of the Act, the Therapeutic Goods (Victoria) Act 1994 is declared to correspond to the Act.”.
