THERAPEUTIC GOODS ORDER NO. 67A

Amendment to Therapeutic Goods Order No. 67 - Standard Dental Materials

I, TERRY SLATER, delegate of the Minister for Health and Ageing for the purposes of the exercise of the Minister’s powers under Section 10 of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 and acting under that section, having consulted with the Therapeutic Goods Committee in accordance with subsection 10(4) of the said Act, hereby AMEND Therapeutic Goods Order No. 67, “Standard For Dental Materials” (TGO 67) made on 23 February 2001 in the manner set out below:

DELETE:

(a)the reference to the standard entitled “ISO 4049:1988 (E) “Dentistry – resin-based

filling materials”, Second edition including Technical Corrigendum 1:1992 under Column 1 of the Schedule to TGO 67; and

(b)the reference to “Dental resin-based filling materials” under column 2 of the Schedule

to TGO 67; and

REPLACE with:

(c)a reference to the standard entitled “ISO Standard 4049:2000 Dentistry – Polymer- based filling, restoration and luting materials, third edition” under Column 1 of the Schedule to TGO 67; and

(d)the reference to “polymer-based filling, restoration and luting materials” under Column 2 of the Schedule to TGO 67.

This Order shall commence twelve months from the day it is gazetted in the Commonwealth Gazette.
