THEATRES AND PUBLIC HALLS

No. 6 of 1964.

An Ordinance to amend the Theatres and Public Halls

Ordinance 1928-1946.

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Theatres and short title

Public Halls Ordinance 1964.*

(2.) The Theatres and Public Halls Ordinance 1928-1946,f as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Theatres and Public Halls Ordinance 1928-1964.

2. Section twenty-seven of the Theatres and Public Halls Public

Ordinance 1928-1946 is amended by omitting sub-section (2.) SSSSSS"
and inserting in its stead the following sub-section:— SStct°rta?nhdSrs.

" (2.) The last preceding sub-section does not apply to—
(a) a public entertainment consisting of the screening
of cinematograph films that commences to be

held after eight o'clock in the evening on a

Sunday; or

(6) a public entertainment or a public meeting—

(i) that is held for a charitable purpose or is of a religious, educational, cultural or sporting nature; and

(ii) the holding of which is authorized by the Minister by instrument in writing under his hand.".
