AN ACT to validate the Constitution and functions

of The Western Australian Transport Board.

[Assented to 26th October, 1949.J

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis-

lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.

This Act may be cited as The Western Australian Transport Board (Validation) Act, 1949.

Interpreta-

tion.

2.

In this Act, "Board" means The Western Austra- lian Transport Board, provision for the appointment of which is made in the State Transport Co-ordination Act, 1933-1948.

Validation. 3. In order to resolve any doubt as to the validity of the constitution of the Board and its functions, it is hereby declared that all appointments made or purport- ing to have been made of members of the Board, and all functions which have been discharged or which purport to have been discharged by the Board pursuant to the provisions of the State Transport Co-ordination Act, 1933-1948, since the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, and which, but for this Act, may have been of doubtful validity, are ratified as lawful and validated.
