HEREAS i t is desirable to prevent the further spread of thePreamble.
W star thistle-& it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the | Province of South Australia, by and with the advice and consent of |
the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows: |
1. The preamble of " The Thistle and Bur Act of 1862," shall Amendments ofA C ~
be read as if the words | star thistle " were inserted therein after |
the words | variegated thistle," and the second section of the said |
Act shall be read as if the words Cbstar | thistle"' were inserted |
therein after the words | variegated thistle," in the fourth line |
thereof. |
2. The Governor may, after resolutions have been carried by

both Houses of Parliament asking him so to do, by Proclamation
published in the
noxious weed, and to be included in The Thistle and Bur Act of
1862," and thereupon the said Act shall be read as if the name of
the weed so proclaimed were inserted therein after the words star
thistle," or may by such Proclamation exempt from the operation of
the said Act any such weed so named.
