An Act to further amend "The Volunteer Act, 1865-6,"

and " The Rifle Companies Act, 1878."

HEREAS it is expedient to further amend " The Volunteer Preamble.

it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the ad&e and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of thc said province, in this preacnt Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. This Act may for all purposes be cited as c c The Local Forces She* title.

Rifle Volunteer Force	under command of 4. From and after the passing of this Act, the Rifle Volunteer
commanding officer. Force, and the companies forming the same, shall be under the command of the commanding officer of the South Australian Military Force.

officers. 7. The Governor may appoint all officers that he may consider necessary above the rank of captain: Provided that the Council may nominate all such officers for appointment, and the officers so nominated shall, if approved by the Governor, be appointed.
