An Act to further amend "The Volunteer Act, 1865-6,"

and " The Rifle Companies Act, 1878."

HEREAS it is expedient to further amend " The Volunteer Preamble.

it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the ad&e and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of thc said province, in this preacnt Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. This Act may for all purposes be cited as c c The Local Forces She* title.

7. The Governor may appoint all officers that he may consider necessary above the rank of captain: Provided that the Council may nominate all such officers for appointment, and the officers so nominated shall, if approved by the Governor, be appointed.
