the sum of one hundred and forty-five thousand pounds towards enabling the Government to pay off certain Land and Immi­ gration Delamtiires whicli will fall due in the years om; thousand (dglit hundred and fifty-eight and one thousand eight hundred and fifty- nine resjiectively Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislatve Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :—

not exceeding live per centum per annum such sum or sums of monty not exceeding one hundred and forty-live thousand pounds as may he rttquired to pay off and discharge certain Land and Immigration Debentures which Avill fall due in the said years one thousand eight hundred and fifty-eight and one thousand eiglit hundred and fifty-nine respectively And all sums liorrowcd under this Act shall he paid to the Colonial Treasurer and shall be by him placed to the credit of the Consolidated Eevenue Eund and shall be applied towards the purposes for Avhich the same shall have been raised and shall he accounted for in the same manner as if they had formed part of the Current Annual Ilevenue of the Colony.

Short title.

2. This Act may he cited as “ The Land and Immigration

Loan Act of 1858.”
