AN ACT to amend The Fremantle Gas and Coke

Company's Act, 1886-1956.

[Assented to 28th November, 1961.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as The Fremantle ,Tiwigttican.

Gas and Coke Company's Act Amendment Act, 1961.

(2) In this Act The Fremantle Gas and Coke Company's Act, 1886-1956, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as The Fremantle Gas and Coke Company's Act, 1886-1961.

amended. 2. Section six of the principal Act is amended

(a)	by deleting the passage, ", with the sanc- tion of a special resolution of the Company previously given in general meeting," in lines two and three;
(b)	by adding after the word, "as" in line four, the passage, "the Minister of the Crown to whom the administration of the Gas Undertakings Act, 1947 is for the time being committed by the Governor, approves in writing and as"; and
(c)	by deleting the words, "not exceeding in the whole the sum of three hundred and seventy-five thousand pounds" in line five.

amended. 3. Section eleven of the principal Act is amended

by deleting the passage, ", so, nevertheless, that the whole capital of the Company shall not exceed the sum of seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds" in lines seven and eight.
