1, This Act may be cited as " The Fire Brigades Act Amend-Short titleandinoor-
ment Act, 1905," and shall be incorporated and read with | The |
Fire Brigades Act, 1904," hereinafter called the principal Act. |
2, Sections 4,30, 42, and43 of the principal Act are herebyRepeal. repealed.
out the words " | thirty-first day of January " in the first and third |
lines .thereof and inserting the words | the last day of February " in |
lieu thereof. |
Section
39 of the principal Act is hereby amended by strikingout the words " regulation of " in the second and third lines thereof.
Section 44 (1) of the principal Act is hereby amended by striking out the words January " in the first line and '' current " in the third line thereof, and respectively inserting the words " December " and " succeeding " in lieu thereof.

The Fire Briyades Act Amendment Act.-1905. following words after the word " months " in the fifth line thereof:-
" Such return shall show the amount derived from insurance of pro-
perty situated within the limits of the Municipalities and Districts
for the time being subject to the provisions of this Act."
4, The principal Act shall apply-. |
I. To the Municipality of Adelaide:
1 1. To the Municipalities and Districts proclaimed under theprovisions of " The Fire Brigades Act, 1890 ":
111. To every Municipality and District to which the Governor,upon the application of the Council of such Municipality or of the District Council of such District, and upon the recommendation of the Board, may, by Proclamation in the
Government Gazette, declare that the principal Act shall apply:
IV. To any fire in a Municipality or District not under the principal Act, to which a fire brigade proceeds under the provisions of section 40 of the said Act.
