An Act Confirming the Appointment of Persons required

to take the Oath of Office and Allegiance.

E it Enacted by the Governor, by and with the advice and

consent of the Parliament of South Australia, as follows:

1, This Act may be cited as '; The Confirmation of Appointments short title.

Act, 1901."

2, The oath of office and the oath of allegiance heretofore taken confirmation of 08th

holding any commission, office, or appointment under the Crown

to Her late Majesty Queen Victoria, whereby any person is now $;Ee

shall be deemed to have been taken to His Majesty King Edward the Seventh, and each such oath so taken, commission granted, or office or appointment so made is hereby confirmed, and shall have the same forcc and effect and be as valid and effectual for all purposes whatsoever as if the same had been taken to, or granted, or made by His Majesty King Edward the Seventh.

3, All acts, deeds, matters, and things executed and done by any Confimationofact~,

such person since the decease of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria etc., executed and

done by persons

shall, where the same would have been lawfully executed and done under appointment.

if such oath had been therebefore taken to, and such commission

granted or office or appoiutment made by, His Majesty King Edward

the Seventh, have the full force and effect of law, and be valid

and effectual for all purposes whatsoever, and are hereby confirmed.

this Bill.
