An Act to antliorize the making* of Conven­

tions respecting* the Border Duties ^vith

any of the adjoining* Colonies.

tinuance for a limited period of the Convention made with

the Government of the Colony of South Australia under the authority of “ The Border Duties Act of 1873” and to provide for making ftirther Conventions Avith the said Government and also Avith the respective Governments of Victoria and Queensland Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of N cav South "Wales in Parliam ent assembled and by the authority of the same as folloAVs:—

1. The Convention made betAA oen the GoA’ernments of A cav The existing

Duties Act of 1873” respecting the payment of Customs duties Avhich south Australia may

2. XotAvithstanding any Act imposing Customs duties or other ciovcrnor may make

said Council Avith the Governments of Victoria South Australia or

charges or authorizing the making of regulations in respect of the of Customs duties and charges upon the importation of goods and live stock across their respective borders or boundaries and for sulistituting a consolidated rate payable by one Colony to tlie other in liini of such collection and during the continuance; of such Convention.
