Proposed protected action ballot by employees of CSR Limited.

[1] This is an application for a protected action ballot of members of The Australian Workers’ Union employed by CSR Limited.

[2] CSR Limited has advised that it does not oppose the application.

[3] The AWU filed a Statutory Declaration detailing how it says it has been and is genuinely trying to reach agreement with the respondent.

[4] In the circumstances, I have decided to determine the matter on the papers without holding a hearing.

[5] I am satisfied that the requirements in s.443(1) of the Act have been met and that, accordingly, an order must be made. An order [PR541526] has issued in conjunction with this decision.
