THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL FOR THE STATE OF QUEENSLAND

v

ROBINSON

[2025] HCADISP 34
B69/2024

  1. The applicant seeks special leave to appeal from the whole of the judgment of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Queensland (Bond, Brown JJA and Henry J) of 1 November 2024 which dismissed the applicant's appeal against an order by the Supreme Court of Queensland (Hindman J) to amend the order to release the respondent under a supervision order made pursuant to the Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act 2003 (Qld).

  2. The application for special leave to appeal does not raise a question of law of public importance and the proposed appeal has no prospects of success. It is not in the interests of the administration of justice, either generally or in this case, for special leave to appeal to be granted.

  3. Special leave to appeal is refused with costs.
