Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 30 January 2015 The Association of Independent Schools of South Australia (the

organisation) lodged with the Fair Work Commission (the Commission) the prescribed

information in relation to a scheduled election.

[2]        On 4 February 2015 the Commission contacted the organisation and requested

amended prescribed information to clarify the specific Board Members required to be elected

in accordance with the organisation’s rules.

[3]        On 5 February 2015 the organisation lodged amended prescribed information for the

following offices:

Board Members

Nominee Governors of Primary Schools (2)

Director, School System, or Group Member Representative (1)

Executive Committee Officers

Chair (1)
Deputy Chair (1)
Treasurer (1)

[4]        The prescribed information was not lodged before the prescribed day in accordance

with section 189(2) of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 (the Act).

Contained within the prescribed information is a request for an extension of time for

lodgement, which I allow, in accordance with section 189(2) of the Act.

[5]        I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed offices is required to be held under

the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
