Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 9 February 2016 the TFGA Industrial Association (the organisation) lodged with

the Fair Work Commission (the Commission) the prescribed information in relation to an

election for the following offices:

Executive Committee member (10)

President

Vice President

Treasurer

Trustee

[2]        At the same time the organisation lodged prescribed information in relation to an

election for the position listed below. On 1 April 2016 the organisation lodged with the

Commission a copy of a request to the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) made under

section 187 of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 to conduct an election for

the following position:

Executive Officer

[3]        Subsection 187(3) requires a copy of the request to the AEC made under subsection

187(1) to be lodged with the Commission at the same time as the prescribed information. The

failure to lodge with the Commission a copy of the request at the same time as the prescribed

information does not, however, affect a determination of an election notification matter for the

purposes of section 189(3) of the Act.

[4]        I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed offices and the above-named

position is required to be held under the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3)

of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the

conduct of the election by the AEC.
