Terrorism (Preventative Detention) Amendment

Regulations 2020

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Terrorism (Preventative Detention)

Amendment Regulations 2020.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Terrorism (Preventative Detention)

Regulations 2011.

4.             Regulation 4 inserted

After regulation 3 insert:

4.            Prescribed classes of persons (Act s. 45(14))

For the purposes of section 45(14) of the Act, the following classes of persons are prescribed —

(a)	persons with experience in working with people from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds;
(b)	persons with experience in working with Aboriginal people or Torres Strait Islanders.
