ACT
Relating
to Moneys Appropriated for the purposes of
certain Authorities of the Territories.

IT ENACTED by the Queen, the Senate and the House of Representatives of
Australia, as follows:—
Short title.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day
on which it receives the Royal Assent.
Definition.
3. In this Act, “prescribed authority of a
Territory” means a body corporate that is incorporated for a public purpose by
a law of a Territory and is declared by the regulations to be a body corporate
in relation to which this Act applies.
Moneys
payable to authorities
4. (1) Moneys
appropriated by the Parliament for the purposes of a body corporate that is a
prescribed authority of a Territory are, subject to sub-section (2), payable to
the body.
(2) The
Treasurer may give directions as to the amounts in which, and the times at
which, the moneys are to be paid to the body.
