REGULATIONS UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1923.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council hereby make the undermentioned amended Regulations under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1923, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of the Telephone Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1927, No. 145, as amended to this date.)

1. Regulation 4 is amended by inserting therein the following further definition:—

“Public telephone cabinet” means a cabinet, building or other structure provided by or under the authority of the Department for the purpose of housing a public telephone.

2. Regulation 123 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new regulation:—

123a. Any person who commits a nuisance or behaves in an indecent or offensive manner in or against any public telephone cabinet shall be guilty of an offence. Penalty: Not exceeding Ten pounds.
