REGULATION UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1916.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1916, to come into operation forthwith.

amendment of the telegraph lines protection regulations 1920.

(Statutory Rules, 1920, No. 246.)

The following Regulation is inserted after regulation 47:—

47a. When wires for the supply of electricity are installed in any premises where lines or wires connecting with lines of the Postmaster-General are also installed, the electric authority responsible for the supply of electricity shall, before supplying electricity to such premises, satisfy itself that the electric wiring installation has been carried out in such a manner that the lines or wires connecting with the Postmaster-General’s lines shall not be injuriously affected thereby.
