(Broadcaster Interface Standard—ACA TS 024 – 1997)

THE AUSTRALIAN COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY, makes the following technical standard under subsection 376 (1) of the Telecommunications Act 1997.

AUSTRALIAN COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY

Title

1.   This Technical Standard may be cited as ACA TS 024 – 19971.

[NOTE:  This Standard takes effect on gazettal:  see Telecommunications Act 1997 s. 376 (5).]

Definitions

2.   In this Standard:

“ACA” means the Australian Communications Authority;

“customer equipment” has the meaning it has in the Act;

“the Act” means the Telecommunications Act 1997.

Standard for customer equipment used as an interface between a telecommunications network and broadcaster equipment or cabling

3.   For paragraphs 376 (2) (a), (b), (c) and (d) of the Act, the standard for customer equipment and customer cabling that serves as an interface between a telecommunications network and broadcaster equipment or broadcaster cabling, is the standard set out in the document known as “ACA TS 024 – 1997” approved by the ACA on 10 December 1997.
