I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the TelecommunicationsAct 1975.

 Regulation 42A of the Telecommunications Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:

Prescribed amount for purposes of subsection 79 (1) of the Act

“42A.

The higher amount for the purposes of subsection 79 (1) of the Act is:

  • (a)

    in respect of a contract entered into for the purposes of section 72A or subsection 75 (2) of the Act-$50,000,000; and

  • (b)

    in any other case-$6,000,000.”.
