I, MALCOLM BLIGH TURNBULL, Minister for Communications, make the following instrument under subsection 99(4) of the Telecommunications Universal Service Management Agency Act 2012.

1. Name of instrument

This instrument is the Telecommunications (Overall Levy Cap Amount) Instrument 2014.

1. Commencement

This instrument commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

1. Definitions

In this instrument:

Act means the Telecommunications Universal Service Management Agency Act 2012.

relevant period means the 2013-14 eligible levy period.

Note: The term eligible levy period has the meaning given by section 4 of the Act.

1. Overall Levy Cap Amount

For the purposes of subsection 99(4) of the Act, the overall levy cap amount for the relevant period is $221,000,000.
