Telecommunications (Interception) Tasmania Amendment Act 2010

An Act to amend the Telecommunications (Interception) Tasmania Act 1999

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Telecommunications (Interception) Tasmania Amendment Act 2010 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Telecommunications (Interception) Tasmania Act 1999 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 6 amended (Documents to be given to Minister) Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting paragraphs (a) and (b) . 5Section 7 substituted Section 7 of the Principal Act is repealed and the following section is substituted: 7Documents to be given to Commonwealth Minister As soon as practicable after receiving a report made under section 6(c) or (d) , the Minister is to give a copy of that report to the Commonwealth Minister. 6Section 12 amended (Report on contravention of Part 2 ) Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting " section 6(a) , (b) or (c) " and substituting " section 6(c) ". 7Repeal of ActThis Act is repealed on the ninetieth day from the day on which it commences.
