I, PHILIP MAXWELL RUDDOCK, Attorney‑General, make this Instrument under subsection 6 (2D) of the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979.

  1. Name of Instrument

This Instrument is the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) (Emergency Service Facilities — Tasmania) Instrument 2007.

  1. Commencement

This Instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

  1. Revocation

The Telecommunications (Interception) (Emergency Service Facility — Tasmania) Instrument 2005 is revoked.

  1. Definitions

In this Instrument:

Act means the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979.

Tasmanian ESF Declaration means the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) (Emergency Service Facilities — Tasmania) Declaration 2007 as existing on the commencement of this Instrument.

  1. Emergency service facilities

(1)   For subsection 6 (2D) of the Act and in relation to Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Tasmanian ESF Declaration, Tasmania Police operates the premises located in the geographical region of Hobart.

(2)   For subsection 6 (2D) of the Act and in relation to Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Tasmanian ESF Declaration, the Tasmanian Fire Service operates the premises located in the geographical regions of Hobart and Launceston.

(3)   For subsection 6 (2D) of the Act and in relation to Part 3 of Schedule 1 to the Tasmanian ESF Declaration, the Tasmanian Ambulance Service operates the premises located in the geographical region of Hobart.
