I, PHILIP MAXWELL RUDDOCK, Attorney‑General, make this Instrument under subsection 6 (2D) of the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979.

  1. Name of Instrument

This Instrument is the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) (Emergency Service Facilities — New South Wales) Instrument 2007.

  1. Commencement

This Instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

  1. Revocation

The Telecommunications (Interception) (Emergency Service Facility — New South Wales) Instrument 2005 is revoked.

  1. Definitions

In this Instrument:

Act means the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979.

NSW ESF Declaration means the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) (Emergency Service Facilities — New South Wales) Declaration 2007 as existing on the commencement of this Instrument.

  1. Emergency service facilities

(1)   For subsection 6 (2D) of the Act and in relation to Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the NSW ESF Declaration, the New South Wales Police Force operates the premises located in the following geographical regions:

(a)    Lithgow;

(b)    Newcastle;

(c)    Penrith;

(d)    Surry Hills;

(e)    Tamworth;

(f)    Tuggerah;

(g)    Wagga Wagga;

(h)    Warilla.

(2)   For subsection 6 (2D) of the Act and in relation to Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the NSW ESF Declaration, the New South Wales Fire Brigades operates the premises located in the following geographical regions:

(a)    Alexandria;

(b)    Katoomba;

(c)    Newcastle;

(d)    Wollongong.

(3)   For subsection 6 (2D) of the Act and in relation to Part 3 of Schedule 1 to the NSW ESF Declaration, the Ambulance Service of New South Wales operates the premises located in the following geographical regions:

(a)    Barrack Heights;

(b)    Charlestown;

(c)    Dubbo;

(d)    Eveleigh;

(e)    Kogarah;

(f)    Rozelle.

(4)   For subsection 6 (2D) of the Act and in relation to Part 4 of Schedule 1 to the NSW ESF Declaration, Telstra operates the premises located in the geographical region of Sydney.
