  1. Name of Instrument [see Note 1]

This Instrument is the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) (Emergency Service Facilities — Australian Capital Territory) Instrument 2008.

  1. Commencement [see Note 1]

This Instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

  1. Revocation

The Telecommunications (Interception and Access) (Emergency Service Facilities — Australian Capital Territory) Instrument 2007 is revoked.

  1. Definitions

In this Instrument:

Act means the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979.

ACT ESF Declaration means the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) (Emergency Service Facilities — Australian Capital Territory) Declaration 2008 as in force on 4 May 2010.

  1. Emergency service facilities

(1)   For subsection 6 (2D) of the Act and in relation to Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the ACT ESF Declaration:

(a)    the Australian Federal Police — ACT Policing Operations operates the premises located in the geographical regions of Belconnen and Greenway; and

(b)    the Australian Federal Police — AFP Operations Coordination Centre operates the premises located in the geographical region of Fairbairn.

(2)   For subsection 6 (2D) of the Act and in relation to Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the ACT ESF Declaration, the ACT Emergency Services Agency operates the premises located in the geographical region of Curtin.
