I, PROFESSOR MARIE BASHIR, AC, CVO, Administrator of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under item 3 of the table in subsection 2 (1) of the Telecommunications (Interception) Amendment (Stored Communications and Other Measures) Act 2005, fix 1 October 2006 as the day on which Part 2 of Schedule 1 to that Act commences.
