1 Name of Determination
This Determination is the Telecommunications (Freephone and Local Rate Numbers) Allocation Determination Variation 2010 (No. 1).
2 Commencement
This Determination commences on the later of:
(a) the day this Determination is registered under the Legislative Instruments Act 2003; and
(b) 8 May 2010.
3 Variation of Telecommunications (Freephone and Local Rate Numbers) Allocation Determination
Schedule 1 varies the Telecommunications (Freephone and Local Rate Numbers) Allocation Determination 2007 (No. 1).

Note As a result of the repeal of the Telecommunications (Freephone and Local Rate Numbers — Charities) Allocation Determination 2007 (No. 1), the allocation of freephone and local rate numbers to charities is dealt with under this Determination (see Division 2 of Part 5 for transitional provisions).

5.7 Definitions for Division 2
In this Division:
repealed Determination means the Telecommunications (Freephone and Local Rate Numbers — Charities) Allocation Determination 2007 (No. 1).
commencement day means the day on which the Telecommunications (Freephone and Local Rate Numbers) Allocation Determination Variation 2010 (No. 1) commences.
5.8 Things under former Determinations taken to be done or in force under this Determination
(1) An eligible charity registered or taken to be registered under:
(a) the repealed Determination; or
(b) the Telecommunications (Freephone and Local Rate Numbers — Charities) Allocation Determination 2005 (No. 1);
immediately before the commencement day is taken to be registered under this Determination on the commencement day.
(2) Any other thing done under, or in force under, a provision of the repealed Determination immediately before the commencement day is taken to be have been done under, or be in force under, the corresponding provision of this Determination as if it had been done under, or come into existence under, this Determination at the time it was done under, or came into existence under, the repealed Determination.
