Telecom Australia Stock Regulations 2(Amendment)

  

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Telecommunications Corporation Act 1989.

1.   Amendment

1.1    The Telecom Australia Stock Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

  

2.   Regulation 7 (Manner of registration of stock)

2.1    Subregulation 7 (3):

Omit “must not”, substitute “may”.

   

3.   Regulation 8 (Notice of trusts not received)

3.1    Omit the regulation.

  

4.   Regulation 9 (Executors etc.)

4.1    Omit the regulation, substitute:

“9.

(1)  Stock may be inscribed in the name of a person described as an executor, administrator or trustee.

 “(2)

Where stock is inscribed in the name of a person described as a trustee, Telecom :

(a)

is not affected with notice of the terms of the trust; and

• (b)

  is not required to make any enquiries about the trust or the propriety of anything done in relation to the stock inscribed in the name the trustee or any part of the stock.”.
