AN ACT to repeal the Teachers' Registration Act,

1976, and for incidental purposes.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the Teachers' Short

title.

Registration Act Repeal Act, 1978.

2. The Teachers' Registration Act, 1976 is hereby Repeal.

provisions.

3. (1) In this section

"Minister" means the Minister for Education; "the Board" means the body known as the

Western Australian Teachers' Registration Board established under section 5 of the repealed Act;

"the repealed Act" means the Act repealed by

section 2 of this Act.

(2) All the right, title and interest in and to any property that immediately before the coming into operation of this Act was vested in the Board is by force of this subsection vested in the Minister, and all obligations and liabilities of the Board existing immediately prior thereto are in like manner imposed on the Minister.

All fees received by the Board in respect of applications for registration under the repealed Act shall be refunded in full by the Minister to the respective persons from whom they were received.
