| Act, 1900, the Legislative Assembly did, by resolution, declare that it was expedient to carry out a certain rvork, namely, the erection of a building for the purpose of a Teachers’ College : And Avhereas, on the passing of the said resolution, a statutory duty was by the said Act imposed on the Secretary for Public Works to introduce a Pill into the said Assembly to sanction the carrying out of the said Avork ; Be it therefore enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the LogislatUc Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as folloAvs :— |

| Works sanctioned. | 2. The carrying out of the Avorks more particularly described in the Schedule to this Act is hereby sanctioned; and the Secretary for Public ILorks, or the member of the Executive Council for the time being performing the duties of the said Secretary, is hereby authorised to undertake and carry out the said Avorks, subject to the provisions of this Act, and for that purpose shall be and have the powers of a Constructing Authority Avithin the meaning of the Public Works Act, 1900. |
| Plan of works. | 3. Til c plan of the said AA'orks is the plan marked “ Training College for Teachers,” signed by the Secretary for Public ALorks, and countersigned by the CoA^ernment Architect, and deposited in the public office of the said Secretary. |

The cost of Carrying out of the said works, estimated at sixty-ciglit tliousand four hundred and seventy-live pounds, may be defrayed from such Loan Votes as are noAv or may hereafter he applicable to tbc ]iur]iosc, or from appropriations of the Public AA'orks Eund, or partly from such votes and ]>artly from the said apjiropria- tions, and shall not, under any circumstances, exceed the estimated cost by more than ten per centum. |

I t will consist of three storeys, and will ho eon.structed of brick, with freestone dressing.s, reinforced concrete floors, and sl.ited roof, and will harmonize in style with the adjoining buildings of the Universitv.
