Taxi and Private Hire Car Regulations2 (Amendment)

The Australian Capital Territory Executive hereby makes the following Regulations under the Motor Traffic Act 1936.

Principal Regulations

1.  In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Taxi and Private Hire Car Regulations.

Taxi fares

2.  Regulation 24 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a)by omitting from paragraph (2) (a) “$2.00” and substituting “$2.20”;

(b)by omitting from paragraph (2) (b) “$1.50” and substituting “$1.60”;

(c)by omitting from paragraph (3) (a) “65 cents” and substituting “70 cents”;

(d)by omitting from paragraph (3) (b) “48.75 cents” and substituting “52.50 cents”;

(e)by omitting from paragraph (4) (c) “75 cents” and substituting “81 cents”;

(f)by omitting from paragraph (4) (d) “56.25 cents” and substituting “60.75 cents”; and

(g)by omitting from subregulation (6) “$17.50” and substituting “$18.60”.

Schedule 2

3.  Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is repealed and the following Schedule substituted:
