An Act to amend the law relating to taxation, and for related purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1Short title

This Act may be cited as the Taxation Laws Amendment Act (No. 9) 1999.

2Commencement

This Act commences, or is taken to have commenced, immediately after the commencement of the Customs and Excise Amendment (Diesel Fuel Rebate Scheme) Act 1999.

3Schedule(s)

Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Diesel Fuel Rebate Scheme

Customs Act 1901

Subsections 164(5AAA) and (5AAB)

Repeal the subsections.

Excise Act 1901

Subsections 78A(5AAA) and (5AAB)

Repeal the subsections.
