A ll Act to amend the Taxation Amending Act,

1905, in order to apply its provisions to municipalities ; and for purposes consequent thereon or incidental thereto. [19̂ /i Decem­ ber, 1906.]

T ) E it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and ■with J lJ the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

Sliort title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Taxation Amending Act,

190G.”

Amendment of

section 2.

2. Section two of the Taxation Amending Act, 1905, is

amended by—

(a)

omitting the 'words “ of the operation in a shire,” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “ or in pursuance of section sixty-two of the Local Government Extension Act, 1906, of the operation in a shire or municipality ” ;

(b)

omitting the words “ that Act,” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “ the first-mentioned Act ” ;

(c)

inserting the words “ or municipality ” after the words “ council of such shire ”

Amendment of

3. Section three of the said Act is amended by—

Bcctioii 3.

(a)

inserting the words “ or the Local Government Extension Act, 1906 ” after the words Local Government (Shires) Act, 1905 ” in the first paragraph of that section.

(b)

inserting the words “ or municipality ” after the words “ suspension aforesaid in a shire,” and after the words “ council of such shire ” respectively in the third paragraph of that section.
