Taxation Administration Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Taxation Administration Act 1953.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Taxation Administration Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 2AA (Prescribed Royal Commission)

2.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Prescribed Royal Commissions

 “2AA. For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘eligible Royal Commission’ in section 2 of the Act, the following Royal Commissions are prescribed:

  • (a)

    the Royal Commission into the NSW Police Service, created by Letters Patent dated 13 May 1994;

  • (b)

    the Royal Commission into the City of Wanneroo, created by Letters Patent dated 12 March 1996.”.
