An Act for granting to Her Majesty certain increased

Duties of Customs.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Aus-

B tralia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of

the said province, in this present Parlia-

ment assembled, as follows:

1. In lieu of the duties of Customs authorised by Act No. 405 of Increased duties.

Junc, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, of any of the goods mentioned in the Schedule to this Act shall be at liberty to

1887, and now levied upon the importation of the goods mentioned in the Schedule to this Act, there shall be levied, collecteii, and

paid to Her Majesty, upon the importation of the said goods into

the Province of South Australia, duties a t the rate set forth in the

said fichedule.

and all officers of

hereby indemnified, protected, and held harmless against any action, claim, or damage to which he or they might otherwise have been liable by reason of any refusal to deliver any goods imported into

the said province after the twenty-fourth day of June, ono thousand

eight hundred and ninety-one, or i n bond on that day, without pay-

ment of the duties set forth in the Schedule hereto,

Every person who shall on or before the commencement of this ~ u t y

to the additional duty which shall by reason of the provisions of

this Act have been paid or made payable on such goods, and shall be entitled by virtue of this Act to be paid the same accordingly by the purchaser of such article, and to sue for and recover the same against such purchaser.
