AN ACT for imposing Duties on Imported Goods and for exemption of certain Goods from Duties.

[ Assented to, 24th August, 1882. ]

`WHEREAS an Act was passed in the 43rd year of the

reign of Her present Majesty, No. 25, intituled " An Act Preamble.

to repeal The Tariff Act, 1876,' and to make other provisions in lieu thereof;" And whereas it was enacted thereby that the said Act should continue in force for the period of three years from the date of its passing, and no longer ; And whereas it is expedient, in view of the expiration of the said Act, to make fresh provisions for imposing Duties on Imported Goods and for exemption of certain Goods from Duties: Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Western Australia and its Dependencies,-by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:—

Short Title.

3, THIS Act may be cited for all purposes as " The Tariff

Act, 1882."
