A ^THEREAS in accordance with the provisions of tlie Public PreamUo.
AEorks Act, 1912, the Legislative Assembly did, by resolution, declare that it was expedient to carry out a. certain work, namely, the carrying out of a scheme of sewerage for the municipality of Tamworth : And wliereas, on the passing of the said resolution, a statutory duty was by the said Act imposed on the Secretary for Public Works to introduce a Bill into the said Assembly to sanction the carrying out of tlic said work ; Be it therefore enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—^

1 . This Act may be cited as the “ Tamworth Sewerage Act, short title.

2 . The carrying out of the Avorks, more particularly described Work s.anctioneci
in tlie Schedule to this Act, is herel)y sanctioned, and the Secretary
| for Public AVorks, or the member of tlie Executive Council for tlic | ■ |
| time being performing the duties of the said Secretary, is hereby authorised to undertake and carry out the said work, subject to the provisions of this Act, and for that purpose shall he and shall have the powers and duties of a Constructing Authority Avithin tlie meaning of the Public ATorks Act, 1912. | ‘ |
3 . The plan of the said AA'ork is the plan marked “ I'oAvn rian of work,
of Tamworth showing Sewerage Scheme,” signed by the Secretary for Public AVorks, and countersigned by the Engineer-in-Charge of AVater Conservation and Drainage, and deposited in the pulilie otlicc of the said Secretary.
4 . The cost of carrying out the said Avork, estimated at forty- Cost; ami how
seven thousand two hundred pounds, may he defrayed from such loan
votes as arc now, or may hereafter he, applicable to that jmrpose, or from approjiriations of the Public Works Eund, or partly from such votes and partly from the said appropriations, and shall not under any circumstances, exceed the estimated cost by more than ten per centum.
SCHEDULE.
The con.struction of sewpr.s, punipino station, rising main, septic tanks, filter beds, and all works incidental thereto neces.sary for the sewerage of the town of Tamwoi'th.
