T.B. SAILORS AND SOLDIERS' ASSOCIATION OF NEW SOUTH WALES INCORPORATION (AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 15, 1949.

An Act to alter the name of the body corporate constituted by the T.B. Sailors and Soldiers' Association of New South Wales Incorpora­ tion Act, 1943 ; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 21st June, 1949.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­	Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of
the same, as follows :—
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "T .B . Sailors and Soldiers' Association of New South Wales Incorporation (Amendment) Act, 1949."
(2) The T.B. Sailors and Soldiers' Association of New South Wales Incorporation Act, 1943, is referred to in this Act as the Principal Act.
(3) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the T.B. Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen's Association of New South Wales Incorporation Act, 1943-1949.
(4) This Act shall commence one month after the day on which the same receives the Royal assent.
2. The Principal Act is amended by inserting next after section three the following new section:—

(a) the name of the body corporate constituted by section three of this Act shall be the " T . B .

3A. (1) As from the commencement of the T.B.

"Sailors and Soldiers' Association of New South
Wales Incorporation (Amendment) Act, 1949—

" T . B . Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen's

Association of New South Wale s " ;

(b) a reference in any Act or other instrument to the T .B . Sailors and Soldiers' Associa­ tion of New South Wales shall be read and" construed as a reference to the T.B. Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen's Association of New South Wales.

(2) Nothing contained in the T.B. Sailors and Soldiers' Association of New South Wales Incor­ poration (Amendment) Act, 1949, shall prejudice or affect in any way the continuity of the body corporate constituted by section three of this Act, but the same shall continue notwithstanding the provisions of the said Act.

(3) The alteration of name effected by sub­ section one of this section shall not affect any property, powers, rights, authorities, duties, func­ tions, liabilities or obligations of the said body corporate, or render defective any legal or other proceedings instituted or to be instituted by or against the said body corporate.

Any legal or other proceedings may be continued or commenced by or against the corporation by the name of the T.B. Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen's Association of New South Wales that might have been continued or commenced by or against the corporation by the name of the T . B . Sailors and Soldiers' Association of New South Wales. F I R E
