REASONS FOR JUDGMENT

  1. In this matter the applicant seeks review of the decision of the Refugee Review Tribunal. He did not attend before the Tribunal nor did he attend before the delegate. He did attend a directions hearing in this matter on 21 June 2012, when the case was set down for hearing today. He has been served by the respondent with copies of their submissions. The applicant was not present in court at 14:15pm, and was not present when his name was called outside the court again at 14:27pm. In those circumstances I propose to dismiss the matter for non-appearance in accordance with Part 13 Rule 13.03C(1)(c) of the Federal Magistrates Court Rules 2001 (Cth), and order that the applicant pay the respondent’s costs assessed in the sum of $4,000.00.

I certify that the preceding one (1) paragraph is a true copy of the reasons for judgment of Raphael FM
