SZQBV & Anor v Minister for Immigration and Citizenship
[2012] HCASL 69
SZQBV & ANOR
v
MINISTER FOR IMMIGRATION AND CITIZENSHIP & ANOR
[2012] HCASL 69
S5/2012
The applicants seek special leave to appeal against orders of the Federal Court of Australia (Cowdroy J) dismissing appeals against orders of the Federal Magistrates Court. The Federal Magistrate (Cameron FM) dismissed the applicants' application to set aside earlier orders made in their absence by the Federal Magistrates Court. The earlier orders dismissed the applicants' claims for judicial review of the decision of the Refugee Review Tribunal to affirm the refusal by a delegate of the Minister to grant the applicants Protection (Class XA) visas.
No reason is shown to doubt the correctness of the conclusion of Cowdroy J that the grounds which the applicants sought to raise had no prospect of success. An appeal to this Court would therefore enjoy no prospect of success.
Pursuant to r 41.10.5 of the High Court Rules 2004 we direct the Registrar to draw up, sign and seal an order dismissing the application.
