S423/2008

  1. The applicants seek special leave to appeal against orders of a single judge of the Federal Court of Australia (Buchanan J) dismissing their appeal against orders of the Federal Magistrates Court.  The Federal Magistrate (Cameron FM) had dismissed the applicants' claim to relief directed to the Refugee Review Tribunal with respect to the Tribunal's decision to affirm the refusal to grant the applicants protection (Class XA) visas.

  2. The applicants did not take up the invitation to attend before the Tribunal to give evidence and make arguments in support of their claims.

  3. The decisions of the courts below are not attended by doubt.
