HAYNE J: The applicants are husband and wife. They sought but were refused protection visas and the Refugee Review Tribunal affirmed the refusal. The applicants seek special leave to appeal against orders of the Federal Court of Australia (Conti J) dismissing their appeal against orders of the Federal Magistrates Court (Scarlett FM). The Federal Magistrate had dismissed the applicants' claim to relief under s 39B of the Judiciary Act 1903 (Cth) directed to the Tribunal in respect of its decision to affirm the refusal to grant protection visas.
There is no reason to doubt the correctness of the conclusions reached in the courts below that relief of the kinds sought should be refused.
Pursuant to r 41.10.5 we direct the Registrar to draw up, sign and seal an order dismissing the application. I publish that disposition.
AT 9.15 AM THE MATTER WAS CONCLUDED
