Act No. 23, 1906.

An Act to regulate the driving of certain stock

through public streets and places of the city

of Sydney ; to amend the Sydney Abattoir

and Nuisances Prevention Act, 1902 ; and

for other purposes. [11th December, 1906.]

Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative
authority of the same, as follows :—

1. This Act may he cited as the " Sydney Stock-driving Act,

1906 ."

2. Section fifteen of the Sydney Abattoir and Nuisances

Prevention Act, 1902, is amended by the addition of the following proviso:—

" Provided that sheep, calves, and pigs intended for sale,

slaughter, or shipment may be driven through or along certain prescribed public streets or place's within the said city between the hours of eight in the evening and eight in the morning."

The said section is also amended by the addition of the following

subsection to be read as subsection two of that section :—

" (2) The Governor may make regulations prescribing the

public streets and places through or along which such sheep, calves, and pigs may be driven, and in such regulations may impose a penalty not

exceeding ten pounds for any breach thereof."
