suburbs thereof Avith Avater respectively Avhich sums so borroAved shall

be a charge on the SeAverage Hates and Water Bates of the said City

respeediveiy And it is by the said Acts further enacted that the entiri;

expenditure of moneys upon the said Avorks and olherAvise in carrying

out the jmrposcs of the said Acts (except in respect of sums aAvarded

liy eora])etent authority as compensation or damages for any loss or

injury sustained by any person in or by the execution of the said Acts

and the taxed costs of the action or issue in or under Avhieh such compensation shall have been aAvarded) shall be subject to the control of the Iji'gislative Council and shall be regulated by Votes and Acts of the said Council in the same manner as the ordinary public expendi­ ture of tlie Colony and accounts of all income and revenues AAdiatso- ever receii'ed by the said Commissioners in relation to the AVorks to be executed under the said Acts and of the expenditure thereof shall be annually laid before and shall be subject to examination by the said Legislative Council in the same manner as if the same Avere a part oi;' the General Revenues of the said Colony Be it therefore enacted by l l is Excellency the Governor of N oav South Wales Avith the advice and consent of the LegislatAe Council thereof as folloAVS :—
