I, the Minister for Planning, in pursuance of section 51 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, make the Regional Environmental Plan set out hereunder.

Citation

1. This plan may be cited as Sydney Regional Environmental Plan No.

20—Hawkesbury-Nepean River (Amendment No. 1).

Principal Plan

2. For the purpose of this plan, Sydney Regional Environmental Plan

No. 20—Hawkesbury-Nepean River is referred to as the Principal Plan.

Aims, objectives etc.

3. This plan aims to amend the Principal Plan by:

(a) defining more precisely the land to which that plan applies; and

(b) excluding certain land from the requirement that it be acquired by

the Minister administering the Environmental Planning and

Assessment Act 1979 on notice being given by the owner of the land.

Land to which this plan applies

4. This plan applies:

(a)

in relation to the aim stated in clause 3 (a), to the whole of the land to which the Principal Plan applies; and

(b)

in relation to the aim stated in clause 3 (b), to the land shown edged heavy black and marked “Sites for Acquisition for Regional Open Space” on Map 3 of the series of maps marked “Sydney Regional Environmental Plan No. 20—

Hawkesbury-Nepean River” deposited in the office of the

Department of Planning.

Relation to other environmental planning instruments

5. This plan amends the Principal Plan in the manner set out in

clause 6.

Amendment of Principal Plan

6. The Principal Plan is amended:

(a) by omitting from clause 5 (1) the definition of “the map” and by inserting instead the following definition:

“the map” means Map 1 of the series of maps marked

Hawkesbury-Nepean River” deposited in the office of the “Sydney Regional Environmental Plan No. 20— each consent authority;

(b) by omitting clause 12 (1) and by inserting instead the following subclause:

(1) This clause applies to the land shown edged heavy black and marked “Sites for Acquisition for Regional Open Space” on Map 2 and Map 4 of the series of maps marked “Sydney

Regional Environmental Plan No. 20—Hawkesbury-Nepean which is deposited in the office of each consent authority.
