Preamijie.

"V^^HEllEAS it Will bc greatly to the public advantage that the

V Y Sydney Railway Company should continue their line of railway

to the head of Darling Harbour in the city of Sydney And whereas in order to enable the said company to continue the said line to Darling Harbour aforesaid it is expedient that the part of the road or street hereinafter described known as George-street should be stopped as a public highway Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of New South Wales with the advice and consent of the

Tiie Governor mitho-Legislative Council thereof that it shall be lawful for the Governor of portion of George- the Said Colony to cause to be enclosed so much ot the said George- throuVb street as is comprised within the boundaries hereinafter mentioned

Soutli in the city of Sydney commencing at Devonshire-street and terminating at the Botany Road being in length on the west boundary fence two hundred and sixteen yards on the east boundary fence two hundred and forty-three yards and in width thirty-one yards or there­ abouts and that from and after the enclosure thereof as aforesaid all right of way over the said piece of land shall be for ever extinguished

and it shall be lawful for Her Majesty or for the Governor of the said Colony to alienate the said piece of land free and clear of all such right of way.
