MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 52 of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games Act 1993, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 31 October 2001 as the day on which Part 7 of that Act commences.

Explanatory note
The object of this proclamation is to commence Part 7 of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games Act 1993 on 31 October 2001. Part 7 provides for the winding up of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG).

This proclamation is made under section 52 of the Act.
